Mortals


Achilles

The hero of the Trojan War as described in the Illiad is a much younger version of himself in this tale. If the Illiad was his greatest adventure, then this was his origin story. His exploits in this legend are what teaches him to become the greatest warrior in all of Ancient Greece.


Icarus

A twelve-year-old living in ancient Greece, dreams of becoming a world-renowned craftsman like his father, Daedalus. Unfortunately, he’s spent most of his young life imprisoned in a tower. After building a flying machine with his father as a means of escape, he flies off the tower and crash lands on an island with mythical creatures. Now, he must return to the mainland and rescue his father from a mad King with plans to conquer the world. Before Hercules found his strength, before Odysseus was lost at sea, and even before Achilles went to the Trojan War, there was Icarus, the hero that time forgot.


Daedalus

The gifted craftsman of Ancient Greece, Daedalus has built numerous sophisticated contraptions that have helped humanity beyond the wildest dreams of the gods. His unique talents make him a target for powerful and ambitious rulers that wish to harness his brilliance for their nefarious schemes.


Benu

Daedalus and Icarus' pet is an African gray parrot. Even with his limited vocabulary, he speaks the right words to assist his human companions. 


Ajax

The tallest and strongest warrior in all of Greece, Ajax puts fear in the hearts of any man, but his gentle demeanor makes him a friend to all. The other soldiers often refer to him as the Greek Freak to describe his exceptional size and might. Like other great heroes, he will one day fight for the Greeks in the Trojan War, but he learns how to be a warrior in this tale under the tutelage of Achilles. He meets and befriends Achilles during their quest, and becomes the trusted confidant of the young warrior. 


Harmony

She appears to be your average maiden, yet Harmony possesses unique divine abilities that cannot be measured or seen with a concentrated gaze. She's mighty, intelligent, a gifted combatant, and can understand individual animal tongues.


King Minos

The son of the great King Lycaster, this vile man inherited the thrown and threw the City of Thebes into disarray. He's such a terrible ruler that the suffering Theban citizens attempted to overthrow him, but he was able to prevent their attempt by appealing to their fears of mythical creatures. He plans to rid the world of their kind and gain ultimate power in one fell swoop.  


King Lycaster

The most exceptional leader Thebes had ever known, King Lycaster took the small coastal town and turned it to a sprawling city. The jewel of Greece had its best years during his reign and progressed far beyond the other city-states. Unfortunately, he did not realize that his offspring would become such a terrible leader after his passing.


Mythical Creatures

The Minotaur

The most terrifying Titan that ever walked the earth is an enormous bull & human hybrid. This fearsome creature was tasked with guarding the Labyrinth, and the ultimate weapon concealed within its core from gods or mortal beings alike that yearn to use it to grant them god-like power.


Cy

The young cyclops is small in stature even when compared to most human children his age. He's a sweet and innocent boy that has been raised on a secluded island under the protection of his giant father, Brontes. He's the complete opposite of his father, who attempts to teach him to be fierce and distrustful of all humans. He lacks a ferocious personality necessary to guard their island against invaders or survive in the harsh world that is Ancient Greece.

Local sailors describe the gigantic cyclops that lives on a remote island in the Aegean Sea as a horrific monster that eats humans and picks his teeth with their bones. The truth about this large one-eyed creature is far more complicated than anyone ever realized. His exterior may be frightening, but it's what is on the inside that makes this giant uniquely sympathetic. 


Laelaps

As a divine hunting dog, Laelaps can track anyone on the planet when presented with the faintest scent of the individual. The only creature that continues to evade his capture is the Teumessian fox.

The Teumessian Fox

A cunning trickster with a supernatural ability to never be captured, the Teumessian fox is the perfect foible to Laelaps. Their gifts create a paradox that would give Zeus a headache. As a fox and a hound, they would be rivals even if they had no unique abilities.


Rhath the Centaur

Part of a fierce clan of centaur fighters known as the Ixion tribe, Rhath is a warrior that resides in the Foloi woods with his people. They live off the land and often clash with humans that trespass into their territory. They defend lesser mythical creatures that cannot fend for themselves and are purely a hunter-gatherer group.


The Karkino

An enormous crab-like monster that lives near Greek shores yet attacks from the sea with its powerful pincers and mandibles. This mindless beast terrorizes humans and other mythical creatures alike. Its tough crustacean shell makes it nearly impervious to man-made weapons.


The Phoenix

Phoenix.png

A mystical creature that was found in the woods and gifted to King Minos, the Phoenix can ignite its scrawny body and transform into a flaming bird of death.


Pandora's Box

The power chest was presented to Pandora as punishment for humanities arrogance. After she opened the box and released unimaginable nightmares onto the world, Zeus observed the suffering and relinquished his chastisement on the innocent maiden and the rest of mankind. The item was named after her following this event.


The Nemean Lion

A large and powerful beast, the Nemean lion ravages the land of Nemea by hunting the locals.


Erymanthian Boar

A giant and fierce animal, the boar torments the people in the primitive highlands of Arcadia.


Satyrs

The top half of these creatures resemble a little person, but their bottom half is that of a two-legged goat. They bleat or baa excitedly as they hop around the Foloi forest.  Although short in stature with their small and stout bodies, the rounded ram horns on their heads make them a formidable foe.


Woodland Nymphs

They look like children with wooden features that allow them to conceal themselves within trees. They are stunted creatures yet fierce in battle when they utilize wooden weapons.


The Gods


Zeus

The King of the Gods, Zeus harnesses the power of lightning to threaten his enemies and put fear in the hearts of men. He is a benevolent deity that watches over humanity and mythical creatures


Poseidon

The god of the sea and earthquakes, Poseidon preferred to have dominion of the oceans and leave the lands to other gods including his brother Zeus. There are far more secrets in its depths of the oceans than on the surface for Poseidon to explore. Many of the terrifying sea creatures are his loyal subjects.


Aphrodite

The goddess of love, Aphrodite is the most stunning goddess of them all. She brings care and affection into people's hearts but struggles to find her own happiness.


Ares

The gods of war, Ares is a ruthless and powerful god that enjoys pitting tribes of men against each other. He values the art of war above all else. Watching battles waged from high atop Mount Olympus is his favorite pastime.


Hades

Hades.jpg

As the god of the Underworld, Hades torments the souls of cruel men in his subterranean domain. The afterlife can be a rewarding or cruel place depending on how you lived your life, but Hades will punish your eternal soul as he sees fit if you end up in his realm.


Athena

Although a goddess, Athena's real power lies in her wisdom. She is capable of outsmarting even the cleverest god or human without any real effort.


Prometheus

In the beginning, when gods walked the lands with humans and mythical creatures, Prometheus defied Zeus by stealing fire from a chest within his palace. As punishment, he was granted immortality only to be tormented for all eternity.
